My sister recently sent me a beautiful butterfly card using Whisper White and Pacific Point. Although I don't have the exact butterfly stamp she used, I came pretty close to duplicating her card by using the Bigz Butterfly die. Isn't this just a gorgeous color combo? So striking. Thanks for the inspiration, Ruth! The butterfly was stamped using the Fresh Cuts stamp set. I also used the Texturz plates for the background. Gotta love that Big Shot!
I used this card as a make & take at the all-day crop where I had a booth last Saturday. The ladies loved it!
I simply ran an inked up sponge gently over the top of the embossed flower, so as to only ink the raised part. I have an idea for a "blinged up" version that I hope to work on and post later today! Enjoy.
My club members made this layout yesterday. It was a beautiful day here, and these pages, along with the weather, put us all in a spring mood! Colors are Gable Green, Regal Rose and Apricot Appeal. We used the Level I Hostess Patterns Pack II 6x6 papers in Regal Rose and Apricot Appeal to cut out the letters using the Big Shot machine. We also used the Big Shot to make the kite using the 5-point star die. We used the Sale-A-Bration set Botanical Blooms for the stamping. Enjoy!
Here's one of the cards we made today at my TNT (Two Neat Techniques) class. Colors are Baja Breeze and Barely Banana. We used the Sweetest Stem Embosslit and the Bigz Butterfly die with the Big Shot machine (LOVE that machine!). Also, it's difficult to see, but we embossed the butterfly on the lower left with one of the the SU!-exclusive Texturz Plates.
Here's the card I gave my husband today. I didn't want anything too "cutesy" (if you know my DH, you know he is not a "cutesy" kind of guy, lol). You'll notice this layout is exactly the same as the prayer card I posted a few posts down.
I used the Pocket Silhouettes stamp set, covering the flowers with hearts punched out using the new three-heart punch. For the sentiment I used Holidays & Wishes (Happy Valentine's Day stamp) and All Holidays (I just inked the "My Dear" part of the My Dear, Kind & Wonderful Friend stamp). My husband knows that my two favorite words in the world are "Yes, dear," so I just had to use the word "Dear" on there somewhere. The background was made using the new Harlequin Texturz plate for the Big Shot. Enjoy.
Gotta love that Big Shot machine! These little boxes are sooooo easy to make, and three Dove chocolates fit perfectly inside. Enjoy!
The new Thoughts & Prayers stamp set (page 58) has to be my favorite from the new catalog. The minute I saw it (and the fantastic price), I knew it would be one of my first purchases. Apparently it was popular among others, too, because it went on backorder by the end of the first ordering day for the new catalog! No worries though, it's back in stock. Here's my first sample using this set. You'll notice I used the new SU!-Exclusive Texturz Plates Background (Harlequin pattern) on the Sahara Sand layer. Enjoy.
