Framelits Frenzy - Day 10

Thanks for joining me for day 10 of my Framelits Frenzy featuring the Stampin' Up! Framelits.  Today I'm showing you a tri-fold card with an interlocking front.  I'm going to show you three different views of this card so that you can see how it works.

Cool, huh?  You just know that whoever you give this card to is going to open and close it several times, right?  lol 

To create the tri-fold, take a standard piece of 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock and cut it in half lengthwise, so that it is now a 4 1/4 x 11" piece.  Next, with the cardstock positioned horiziontally, score each end 2 3/4" in from the edge.  Fold in both ends, and voila, you have a tri-fold!  I created the tri-fold and the lines you see on either side of the front using our fabulous new Simply Scored tool.  It makes scoring sooooooo easy!  I love it!

How's this for a "WOW" Christmas Card?

I was in the mood to play the other day, and, inspired by a Christmas ornament, I decided to make this card.  It took quite a while, but I think it was worth the effort.  Can I just say ... I LOVE the new Simply Scored!

Stamps:  None.  Colors:  Garden Green, Bravo Burgundy, Whisper White (used for brick), Very vanilla (used for door), Daffodil Delight (for "light" coming from top of door).  Accessories:  Simply Scored (used for making brick and door panels), gold cardstock (kickplate at bottom of door), Silver Glimmer Paper, Final Press Embossing Folder (trees), Petals A Plenty embossing folder (wreath), Gold Brads, Real Red 1/8" ribbon, Small Scallop Circle punch, Large Scallop Circle punch (for garland), 1 1/4" circle punch and 1 3/8" circle punch (for wreath), 2-step owl punch (for silver dots on wreath), Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch (top of door), 1 3/4" circle punch (behind Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch, for top of door).
