It's not how much you do, but how much love you put in the doing.
Ah, isn't that true? A gift given doesn't mean nearly as much if the recipient knows you did it only because you felt obligated. But if they know you gave it out of love, its meaning multiplies tenfold. I'm going to try to remember this tomorrow morning when I'm grumbling about having to make my kids' lunches. I don't know why, but it's just something I dislike doing. It seems like such a mundane, do-it-everyday-the-same-way task. But if I put love into it (maybe with an "I love you - have a great day!" post-it note stuck on the sandwich bag), perhaps it won't seem as mundane to me (or them).
