Purses, purses, purses!

Wow!  Everyone had a great time at the Scrapbook Purse class last Friday night.  It took a little longer than we expected, but it was great fun and, as you can see from the pictures below, all of the purses turned out to be GOJUS!

Here's Cheryl (a brand new customer) with her purse.  This was her first time at one of my events.  Great job, Cheryl!

Here's Jane's purse.  Jane is a longtime friend and customer.  Don't you love the DSP she chose (Porcelain Prints)?  Beautiful, Jane!

Here's Julie (one of my team members - yeah!) with her purse.  She used the Afternoon Tea paper from the Occasions Mini catalog.  Very elegant, Julie!

Last but not least, here's Tina (a friend of Julie's) with her purse.  Tina used the Summer Picnic paper for her purse.  I love it, Tina!

Another card club card

This is another card my club members made on Wednesday. It's a pocket card, and it uses the pre-cut and pre-scored Wild Wasabi textured cardstock from the current special.  The only stamp set I used was the Three For You Punch Box, which is also what I used to punch the small flowers.  I got the basic idea from this card by jacobsenn on Splitcoast.  I really liked how she layered all the circle colors with the Bashful Blue Scallop.

I am soooooooo going to miss Wild Wasabi and Purely Pomegranate when they retire!  They make a striking combination.  Enjoy!

Now this is different, isn't it?

Isn't this a cool card?  I saw this layout on the Stamper's Showcase (demo-only side of SU! website), and I knew instantly that I had to make one.  The one on the Showcase used the LeJardin paper, which is a softer color palette, but the minute I saw it I knew I had to make one using the Summer Picnic paper on page 16 of the Occasions Mini Catalog.  My lucky club members will get to make this card tomorrow morning.  I think they're gonna like it!  What do you think?

Heartfelt Thanks and Sanded Background

Hello!  I am always amazed at how well the Sanded background stamp goes with a soft, flowery-type card.  When I first saw that background, I thought immediately of masculine or western cards.  I have since discovered that it is wonderful for use with any kind of card, masculine or feminine.  It has become one of my favorite background stamps and I use it all the time. For this card, I used the Poppin' Pastels technique, using versamark and our pastels for the flower.  I also used the FABulous new polytwill ribbon from the Occasions Mini Catalog.  I love that ribbon - it's so soft!  Enjoy.  The inspiration for this card came from this card by "Gem" on Splitcoast.
