An Early 4th of July Card

I know it's early for a 4th of July card, but I just got this set and simply had to play with it.  I rummaged through some cards I had in one of my many baskets and found one with a vellum pocket.  I said to myself:  "OK then, that's what I'll make with this set!"  Enjoy!

Havin' Fun With Hodgepodge Hardware

Here's another card I made for the challenge issued by my 4th upline.  I got the inspiration for the layout from a card in Paper Crafts magazine, although I made so many changes that you would probably never guess that's where I got the inspiration!  Stamp set is Baroque Motifs.  Colors are Groovy Guava, Wild Wasabi and the Tea Party Designer Series Paper.  Enjoy!

Goofy frog hangin' around

OK, I have to tell you that this is one of those rare "Donna original" cards.  Yep, that's right, I came up with this one all on my own (I hear gasps from those customers who know me as the Queen of CASEing, lol).  I was making cards using the Hodgepodge Hardware kit as part of a challenge that was issued by my 4th upline.  In case you don't know it, you get a free Hodgepodge Hardware Kit when you sign up to be a demonstrator during May.  Also, those kits are retiring with the current catalog (Aug. 10).  Get 'em while you can, and make some hangin' frogs of your own!  The stamp sets are Unfrogettable, Itty Bitty Backgrounds and Smarty Pants. Enjoy!

Chipboard Sample

With the chipboard at 25% off this month, I thought I should provide some inspiration for you!  I think this makes a great graduation card.  I used the chipboard tag from Onboard Accents and covered it with designer series paper that I realized (too late) was retired.  OOPS!  Oh well, it still makes a nice card (IMO).  The stamp set is Celebrate Everything. The background was made using the "Sanded" background stamp

Stampin' Club Card

This is one of the cards my club members made yesterday.  I used Soft Sky and Chocolate Chip.  I wanted to use the Hodgepodge Hardware, which will be retiring with the current catalog.  The stamp set is "Light Unto My Path".

Chipboard Photo Frame

Isn't this a great idea!?  I received this as a gift from my 4th upline for meeting a certain sales criteria.  I just love it!  She used the On Board Book Basics Small chipboard sheets (pg. 179 in the Spring-Summer Collection) and the Spring Break Designer Series Paper (pg. 168).  Isn't it gorgeous?  What a great way to display a favorite photo.  Thanks, Jan!

My Special Mother's Day Gift

Before church services this morning, our pastor came up to me and said "A few weeks ago I asked some of the kids in Jr. church class to write down why their mom is special, and I'm going to read some of them today.  I'm not going to say names, because some of them are funny, but I wanted to let you know that your daughter wrote the last one and it is really nice."  (Way to make me pay attention during the sermon, Tom!)

He was right - some of them were really funny, but here's what my youngest daughter (9-year-old, wearing green in photo below) wrote:  "My mom is special because she loves me.  She's like my own personal hero."  That's just about the best gift I can think of.  Thanks, lovey!

Mother's Day Card

Happy Mother's Day (a couple of days early) to all you mothers out there!  May you have a relaxing, peaceful day!  (Note:  The sentiment was made using my printer.  I don't have a stamp that says "Happy Mother's Day".  Can you believe it?!)

I'm back - finally!

My sincere apologies for no new posts lately.  I took a week-long vacation with 3 of my sisters and one niece out to San Francisco and wine country in CA.  I've been back for a whole week, but still haven't had time to get on here and post something new for you to view.  Anyway, what a totally FABULOUS time we had!  We're going back in a few years for my birthday!  I'll have a post about that trip and visiting a fellow stamper's home out there when I do my next post.  In the meantime, here's a card I created for my niece's birthday (the one that went out to CA with us).
