Card for swap

I just finished making ten of these for a private swap on SCS.  I used the faux silk technique, which I love.  You can find a tutorial I did back in January HERE.

Swap I made for convention

This is a card I made for a private swap at convention.  I'll be posting pics of the ones I got in the swap over the next week or so.  They are awesome!  Stay tuned.

A lovely gift from a friend

Isn't this the cutest thing?  I received it at convention from my wonderful friend Kim W.  For the inside, she used an envelope that was sealed and then cut off at both ends and punched with the circle punch to make little pockets.  In one end she tucked adorable little 3x3 love-note size cards and in the other end she put matching 3x3 envelopes.  Like I said, cute!  I just love it, and it received many compliments at my new catalog / birthday event on Saturday.  Thanks Kim!

Tangerine Rose Eastern Blooms

I made this card to send out to a few friends today.  I used Rose Red and Tangerine Tango cardstock and Rose Red, Tangerine Tango and Celery inkpads, along with the new scallop edge punch (love it!) and some celery ribbon.  Can you make out the Dazzling Diamongs Glitter on the Rose Red flowers?  I just LOVE the new Eastern Blooms and Heard from the Heart stamp sets (and they're both 15% of until Sept. 30).  I do believe Tangerine Tango is going to turn out to be my favorite In Color this year!  Enjoy.

Christmas Card Class

I held the first in my series of four Christmas card classes on Friday night.  I decorated my dining room with a small Christmas tree, lighted garland over the window, a wreath on the china cabinet and ornaments on the chandelier.  I also had Christmas music playing!

Happy Apricot Appeal Birthday to Me!

Funny story!  I asked my DH if he would pick up a cake for me at the grocery store for my birthday / new catalog event today, as I had promised my customers there would be cake.  He came home with this cake, the frosting of which is an absolute perfect match for Apricot Appeal! (see the cardstock next to the cake).  LOL, can you believe it?  And it's one of my favorite colors!  That was just too funny!

Here are two dear customers, Sharon and her daughter Stef, with their FREE sheets of retired Designer Series Paper.  I let customers pick 6 sheets for every $30.00 they spent at my birthday event.  Customers also got 10% off any birthday sets because it was my birthday!  Did I mention that I was also giving the catalog away for FREE at my event?  Contact me if you weren't able to make it but would like a catalog.  I still have some FREE ones left!

Card for Christmas class tonight

This is one of the cards my customers will make tonight at the first in my series of Christmas Card classes.  It uses the Many Merry Messages and Independence Day sets with gold embossing.  I cut out the die using the new machine that SU! is now selling (available to customers on Sept. 2) - the Sizzix Big Shot, which I LOVE!  Enjoy!

A GREAT group named Tonic Sol-Fa performed for us at convention this year.  They use no instruments, but make the instrumental sounds themselves.  They are INCREDIBLY FABULOUS!  Click HERE to watch the video of a special song they made up just for us!  Too funny!

Card using new set from convention

I needed to make a thank-you card for one of my upline ladies.  I decided to keep it simple.  I used the Eastern Blooms set for the flowers and the Flight of the Butterfly set for the sentiment.  Colors are Sahara Sand and Basic Black.  Enjoy!

 

Look what I won at convention!

WOO HOO! I had the winning color of wristband (neon pink stripes) when they did a drawing during General Session, and here's what I won: New Christmas paper, new Christmas rub-ons, Baja Breeze inkpad (new in-color) and Old Olive wide grosgrain ribbon. Gorgeous, huh?! I feel a Christmas Stamp Camp coming on!
