Isn't this a fun little place setting favor?
And look, the top lifts right up to reveal the treat!
My 4th upline, Jan, sent us this idea this morning. THANKS JAN! Her version uses a pattern that involves cutting and scoring to make the cake piece (see her blog post here for that pattern (note: I did not use that pattern - keep reading!). I got the idea that perhaps our Pennant Die for the Big Shot machine could be used to make a piece of pie. So, I set to work and I had my piece of pie in about a half an hour! WOO HOO! Now, obviously, my piece of pie is much larger, but have you ever heard anyone complain about getting a bigger piece of pie? I think not!
I think you can see from the pictures how it is put together. Aside from cutting the 2 pennants from pumpkin pie, you'll also need the following:
1 piece of Creamy Caramel cardstock, 5 1/2 x 2", edged with the scallop edge punch.
1 piece of Pumpkin Pie cardstock 10 x 1 1/2, scored at 5" across and 1/2" lengthwise (the sides of the pie). The 1/2" scored section gets adhered to the top piece of the pie.
1 piece of Pumpkin Pie cardstock 5 1/2 x 7/8" (to cover the inside where the two pennants are adhered to the Creamy Caramel piece).
Here are more pics so you can see how it's put together. Enjoy!
