I really love the Oval All stamp set from the Occasions Mini Catalog.  I think I'll be using this one a lot in the future. 

I'm also in love with the absolutely to-die-for Parisian Breeze Designer Series Paper.  Have you seen that paper up close?  It's a textured, cover-weight cardstock.  I just love the feel of it.

"Great Friend" is a great stamp set!

I really love this stamp set from the Occasions mini catalog.  Of course, I love just about everything in that catalog ... but I digress ...  This is the only card I've made with this set so far, but I predict there will be many more in the future.  Colors are Cameo Coral, Certainly Celery, Whisper White and Basic Black.  I also used the wide Celery grosgrain ribbon (LOVE that ribbon), the Eyelet Border punch, the 2-way glue pen and some glitter.  Enjoy!

Spotlighting Technique

 

Sorry I haven't posted for a while.  My kids and I went to Virginia to visit family over spring break.  It was a nice visit, but it's good to be home.  It's a long drive at 9 hours!

This is one of the cards we made at my recent TNT (Two Neat Techniques) class.  It uses a technique called spotlighting.  It's very simple.  Just stamp your image (you need a line image that can be colored in).  Then, punch a circle and a square out of another piece of cardstock using your punches, to make a template.  Place the template over the part of the image you want to color in, use your black marker to trace the shape from the template, remove your template and then color in only the part of the image that is within the circle or the square that you drew.  Pretty cool, huh?  The set I used here is Doodle This.  Colors are Cameo Coral, Summer Sun and Basic Black.  Enjoy.

Another Big Shot Butterfly Card

My sister recently sent me a beautiful butterfly card using Whisper White and Pacific Point.  Although I don't have the exact butterfly stamp she used, I came pretty close to duplicating her card by using the Bigz Butterfly die.  Isn't this just a gorgeous color combo?  So striking.  Thanks for the inspiration, Ruth!  The butterfly was stamped using the Fresh Cuts stamp set.  I also used the Texturz plates for the background.  Gotta love that Big Shot!

Echoes of Kindness Card

I just love this Level 2 hostess set, Echoes of Kindness.  I got the idea to use the wide oval punch for a vase from a sample I saw on the demo side of Stampin' Up! the other day. 

Colors are Certainly Celery, Rose Red and Pink Pirouette.  I used the white craft ink to stamp the Sanded background on the Rose Red piece.  Enjoy.

Mother's Day - Manhattan Flower Embossing Folder

I used this card as a make & take at the all-day crop where I had a booth last Saturday.  The ladies loved it!

I simply ran an inked up sponge gently over the top of the embossed flower, so as to only ink the raised part.  I have an idea for a "blinged up" version that I hope to work on and post later today!  Enjoy.

Treats for Croppers

I had a booth at an all-day crop on Saturday, and myself and two wonderful customers made 66 of these little beauties to put at everyone's spot.  They loved them!

We cut the cardstock into 5 x 3 3/4 pieces and then we scored it down the middle, so the finished size was 2 1/2 x 3 3/4.  We used the horizontal slit punch to make the slot for the popsicle stick and, of course, the scallop circle punch for the "bite".  The Tart & Tangy and "Yummy" SAB sets were perfect for this project, don't you think?
