This is completely non stamping-related, but since I just finished making over 300 of these puppies for my daughter's school project, I wanted to share. I just returned from the school and she has already sold out of the ones I sent this morning. They are selling like hotcakes! I have to take more over shortly. Don't they look delicious? They are!
A fraction of the bags we put together...
So, you want to know how to make these, don't you? Here's the recipe. So easy!
Chocolate Cake Balls
You will need:
1 pkg. of chocolate cake mix, 1 container of chocolate frosting and 1 package (14 oz.) Wilton's Candy Melts (you can get these at Michaels) or other candy coating.
Prepare the cake according to package directions (pan size doesn't matter). When the cake has finished cooking, crumble it while it is warm (but not too hot) into a bowl. Stir in the frosting until it is well blended. Now, melt the chocolate coating in a microwave safe bowl, carefully following package directions (overheating can cause a change in the consistency) stirring occasionally until it is smooth. Next, using a melon baller or scoop, scoop up the chocolate cake mixture to form balls. Now, dip the balls into the chocolate coating using a fork or toothpick. Place on a piece of waxed paper and allow to set. The chocolate will harden quickly and you can eat them as soon as they are ready. Enjoy!
In keeping with at least some reference to Stampin' Up!, if you were to ask me which of the 48 colors I absolutely could not live without, it would have to be Chocolate Chip (lol, no kidding).
What SU! color would you have a hard time doing without? Let me know and I'll enter you in a drawing to win a little sampler pack of items in your favorite color.
Not to be redundant, but Chocolate Chip is my favorite and most used color too! I will say I'm going to miss Pink Pirouette, it's also a favorite and goes great with C.C. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to learn to do without that one. :)

I am going to have a very hard time living without Pacific Point, but if I have to choose one that is not incolor I would have to pick Ballet Blue. It is a wonderful blue and I love to use it with Christmas cards. I have used it with some Spring cards to. I have a couple of ideas for future spring cards.

I find that I use the colors Green Galore, Pink Passion or Pixie Pink, Lovely Lilac, and Brilliant Blue together ALOT!! I just love the bright colors and how pretty they look together. I have 2 girls so my scrapbook pages are very girly! If I had to choose one though I would have to say Pixie Pink. But I still love the others just the same!!

Thanks for sharing the recipe for your chocolate cake balls, I will be giving that a try soon. Like you, chocolate chip is a favorite of mine. I seem to change color families with the seasons but reach for Chocolate Chip year round. jmniffer

Oh my goodness, a friend at work just made these only she used confetti cake with strawberry frosting dipped in chocolate. It was delicious!
I am a lover of all things blue, so my favorite SU color is probably night of navy.
