Ice Cream Cone Birthday Card

One of my customers (I can't remember who it was) mentioned that the new "Perfect Details" Texturz Plate for the Big Shot machine looks just like the pattern of an ice cream cone.  Indeed it does!  The very next day I just had to make a cone, which of course turned into a card. 

Colors: Gable Green, Tempting Turquoise, Very Vanilla, Pretty in Pink and Chocolate Chip.  Stamp sets:  Enjoy Every Moment and Itty Bitty Backgrounds.

I brushed lightly over the cone with Close to Cocoa ink using one of our sponges (I used a whole sponge instead of just a small piece, inking the flat side and brushing lightly so it was easier to make sure the ink only touched the raised pattern).  Then I raised the whole thing up with dimensionals.

Pretty Peacock

My club members made this card today.  It uses the new Medallion stamp (pg. 133. $17.95) and the new Ronald McDonald House stamp set, Very Thankful, page 209, $14.95.  Remember, when you purchase the Ronald McDonald House set, $2.00 goes to RMH charities, a wonderful cause!

 

Colors are Taken with Teal and Green Galore.  To get the bluish tint at the bottom of the peacock's feathers, we "rolled" the stamp (already inked in Green Galore) onto the Taken With Teal inkpad.  This technique is called "rock & roll".
