Autumn Big Sot Card Using Wood Sheets

I've had our Wood Sheets on my shelf for a while now, but I kept forgetting about them.  When I decided to make a fall card, the Wood Sheets popped into my head for some reason, and I thought they would make some pretty cool-looking leaves.  Here's the card:

I just love these colors - so rich!  Cherry Cobbler is fast becoming my new favorite!

Supplies:

Stamps:  Upsy Daisy (sentiment), Texture jumbo wheel; Cardstock: Always Artichoke, Chocolate Chip, Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla; Inks:  Whisper White Craft, Cherry Cobbler (wheeled background using Texture wheel); Accessories:  Big Shot Die Cutting Machine, Leaves #2 Bigz Die, Wood Sheets, Extra Large Decorative Label Punch (Christmas Mini Catalog), Striped Grosgrain Ribbon, Gold Smooch Spritz.

Make a Faux Quilt Card WithYour Big Shot

I've seen these quilt cards around for a while, but it looked really complicated so I never took the time to figure out how to make one. Looking for a "wow" for my monthly card club, I finally bit the bullet.  This wasn't difficult at all!  Here's  how to make this fun card:

 
You'll need a piece of cardstock (I used Whisper White) "3  3/4  x 5".  Using your 1 1/4" square punch, punch out 12 squares of cardstock or Designer Series Paper and adhere them to the piece of cardstock.  For this card, I used the 6x6 In Color Designer Series Paper Pack available to hostesses.

 

 

Here's what your piece will look like after you've adhered all 12 squares.

 

 

Next, place the piece on your Top Note die (photo above) and run it through your Big Shot machine.

This is what you get.  Cool, huh?

Next, using a 4 1/4" x 5" piece of cardstock (in this case, our beautiful new Pear Pizzaz In Color), run it through your Big Shot using one of our many Textured Impressions Embossing Folders.  In this case, I used the Square Lattice folder, which was available in our Summer Mini Catalog.

Adhere the layers together and finish your card.

 

Aren't these colors just fantastic together?!  I think so!  (They are Poppy Parade, Pear Pizzazz and Peach Parfait from this year's In Color collection).

Cardstock:  Poppy Parade, Pear Pizzazz and Whisper White.  Other Paper:  6x6 In Color Designer Series Paper Pack (hostess section of catalog);  Inks:  Poppy Parade.  Stamps:  Perfect Punches.  Accessories:  Big Shot Die Cutting Machine; Top Note Bigz Die;  Square Lattice Embossing Folder; Whisper White Satin Ribbon; Wide Oval Punch; 1 1/4" square punch.
