Fill-in-the-age Birthday Card

Here's one of the cards we'll be making at my event next Saturday.  Isn't it a hoot?  (Pun intended, lol.) 

 

This card came in stages.  I had the owl (made from the 2-step Owl Punch in big Idea book & Catalog and the Owl Stamp from the Punch Bunch stamp set in the Sale-a-Bration Catalog) in the tree with the clouds (made with the Cupcake Punch from the Occasions Mini Catalog and the "Guess who's turning ___" from the On Your Birthday stamp set (Item # 111664, $33.95, p. 153 big Idea Book & Catalog).  I was thinking "this card needs something else ..."  and out of nowhere came the idea for the half-closed eyes and the thought cloud above his head.  The "Grrrreat" is from the Under the Stars stamp set (the one with that adorable bear) - (Item # 111556, $29.95, pg. 94 of the big Idea Book & Catalog).    For the tree texture, I used the Woodgrain background stamp (Item #117110, $17.95, p. 142, big Idea Book & Catalog).

Take-a-Spin-the-Bottle

Did I get your attention with that post title?  Haha!  Isn't this a fun card?  I was quite proud of myself for thinking of it!  Here's a way to use the Game Spinner Hands from the Occasions Mini Catalog with a stamp set other than Take A Spin (although that set is a must-have, IMO).  This will be my sister's birthday card (Hi Ruth - sorry to spoil the surprise, but I just couldn't wait to share this card with my customers).

 

I think a stamp that says "Decisions, decisions ..." would totally complete this card, LOL.

Everybody Loves Cupcakes!

And these cupcakes don't have any calories!

 

We made these on Saturday at my Drop-In event.  Aren't they cute?  They're made with the new Build A Cupcake Punch in the Occasions Mini Catalog (p. 22).  The bottom of the cupcake also makes a cute popcorn bucket, window awning or circus train car!  The top makes a great cloud, too!  Can't you picture it?

Game Spinner Hands from SU! - What Fun!

Oh my word, I am in love with these spinner cards!   I made this one for my daughter who competes in karate tournaments and who just received the news that she ranked #1 in her division for fighting.  After four tough tournaments over the past year, she has earned it!  She'll be receiving her award at a banquet soon, and I wanted to give her a special card that night.  I think she'll like it!  What do you think?

Birthday Card

Here's a card I made for my daughter's birthday.  I just LOVE this color combo, as you can tell from my previous post!

This card uses the Sale-a-Bration set "Punch Bunch," as well at the ribbon & button Sale-A-Bration bundle, and the Bring On the Cake set (p. 20) from the Occasions Mini.  The leaves were punched with the fabulous new Blossoms Petal Punch (p. 12) from the Occasions Mini.

Occasions Mini and Sale-a-Bration Drop-In Party Next Saturday!

Hello again stampers!  Well, I have been trying to get my newsletter done, but life keeps getting in the way, so I thought I'd better let you know via my blog about an event I'm having next Saturday. 

Saturday, January 22, 10:00 am - 2:00 pm - Occasions Mini and Sale-a-Bration Drop-In Party.
