First sample from the Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini Catalog!

My preordered box of goodies from the SU! Holiday Mini Catalog arrived today.  Yippee!  I opened it immediately and proceeded to make this card using the Heart of Christmas stamp (p. 15), the new Core'dinations cardstock (in Cherry Cobbler) (p. 6) and the new 7/8" Cotton Ribbon (p. 20).

Lucky club members will make this card tomorrow :-)

Star Tree Card - Come Make It Thursday Night (plus, here's the blog candy winner...)

Here's one of the cards we're making at my quick class on Thursday night.  It features the new Star Tree stamp (p. 19 - $9.95).  I just love that little tree!  See the second photo for a variation.

Betsy's Blossoms Again!

I've been mistakenly calling this stamp set "Betsy's Blooms" in my previous posts.  Oh dear!  Well, whatever I call it, I really do love this set.  Here's another card my club members made at our last meeting.

Stamps:  Betsy's Blossoms (p. 72)  and Trust God (p. 136).  Colors:  Lucky Limeade, Midnight Muse, Primrose Petals, Summer Starfruit (all In Colors), Pool Party.  Accessories:  Big Shot Die Cutting Machine (p. 186), Delicate Designs Embossing Folder (p. 188), Labels Collection Framelits (p. 191),  Betsy's Blooms wheel (ah, there's the name! p. 72), Standard Wheel Handle (p. 6).

Did you notice the embossing over the wheeled flowers?  Cool, huh?

I didn't put an ink cartridge in the wheel handle.  We just rolled it across the inkpad.  (It's good for just one rotation when you do it that way.)

Blue Ribbon Stamp Set - Lots of Possibilities!

Here's a card my club members made last week using the Blue Ribbon stamp set.  This set comes with several stamps you can use in the center of the ribbon.  Perfect for a variety of occasions.

 

Stamps:  Blue Ribbon.  Colors:  Real Red, Basic Black, Pacific Point.  Accessories:  2 3/8" scallop circle punch, 1 3/8" circle punch, Red Glimmer Paper, Bold Brights Brads, Pacific Point stitched ribbon.

Are you wondering how I cut the Red Glimmer Paper into the shape of the ribbon stamp?  I stamped the ribbon image on the back of it (using Black Staz-On ink, because the paper is a little slick and other inks would smudge) and then I cut it out ;)

From My Heart Card

I really like the new From My Heart stamp set (p. 139 in the new catalog).  It has so many wonderful sayings, such as "I'd rather do nothing with you than something with anyone else."  (Don't you love that?)

Here's a card using the From My Heart stamp set.  We made this one at my Hostess Luncheon.  The sentiment works for so many of life's occurrences.

Stamps:  From My Heart.  Colors:  Sahara Sand, Not Quite Navy, Basic Black, Whisper White.  Accessories:  Big Shot die cutting machine, Labels Collection Framelits, Argyle Embossing Folder,  Crumb Cake Seam Binding.
