Fancy Favor Christmas Gift/Treat Box and Scentsational Season Stamp Set

Here's a little treat box I made recently using the Fancy Favor Bigz XL die for the Big Shot and the new Scentsational Season stamp set with the matching Holiday Collection Framelits.

By punching a hole in the front of the box (before I assembled it) I can use it with a (battery-operated!) tealight holder or I can put a treat inside.  I just love how the Scalloped Tulle Ribbon makes a beautiful bow!

I used vellum for the "window."  To get the candy canes going in opposite directions, I stamped one on each side of the vellum.

How to give a useful holiday gift: Five simple steps, five easy minutes, less than $10

Holiday Mini Ornament Class

Did you see the beautiful ornament I posted yesterday?  I've had several requests for a class already!  I'm going to hold a class on Wednesday, September 12th at 1:00 PM and 7:00 PM and Sunday, October 7 at 1:00 PM.  Classes will be held at Lambertville United Methodist Church at the corner of Dean & Douglas in Lambertville, MI. 

 

There are lots of details I need to share about this class, so read carefully below:

First, each person at the class needs to have their own Big Shot machine.  It is used a lot for this ornament and having everyone share my machine would take much too long.  If you don't own a Big Shot, see the bottom of this post for why it's a great time to buy one.

You will also need your own hot glue gun and your favorite green and red inkpads (I used Cherry Cobbler and Lucky Limeade on my ornament.  If you would like to, you can add these to your order.)

Additionally, each person will need the following SU! products:

- Ornament Keepsakes Bundle (Holiday Mini catalog, p. 3).  This bundle includes the Ornament Keepsakes stamp set in either wood or clear, and the Holiday Ornament Framelits.  The bundle is a great deal at $42.95 for clear and $49.95 for wood.

- Scalloped Tulle Ribbon in Cherry Cobbler (Holiday Mini catalog, p. 4, $6.95)

- Designer Faceted Buttons (Big catalog, p. 176, $5.95 )

- Silicone Craft Sheet (Holiday Mini catalog, p. 31, $5.95) (this is for use with your hot glue gun, and you are going to love it!)

- Linen Thread* (Big catalog, p. 173, $4.50)

-Tombow Multipurpose Adhesive* (Big catalog, p. 177, $3.95) (you need an adhesive that allows you to "slide" the pieces a bit)

I will provide all cardstock and the pearls for the center of the ornament.

Scrapbooking/Stamping Event September 29 in Lambertville

Do you have summer photos that you need to get into an album?  Do you have Christmas cards you need to get done (before Christmas Eve, lol)?  Join us on Saturday, September 29 from 9-9 to work on your scrapbooks, cards, or whatever other projects you need to get finished.  I'll be there!

Christmas Card Class Series Starts Next Week

Hi stampers!  It's time for my annual Christmas Card classes!  One class per month in August, September, October and November.  Attend all four classes or just some - your choice.

Details:

We will make 8 cards at each class.  Envelopes included.  Bring your own adhesive.

Cost:  $17.00 per class.

Discounted price when you pay for all four classes in advance by August 15: $60.00 ($8.00 savings).
