I am in love with this new product (and I don't even have it in my hands yet)!  "What is it?" you ask.  Well, that depends on which of the This and That products you buy and what you do with them.  It's whatever you make it!   I'm getting them all (of course!)  The journal (which comes with 60 printed pages) will be my "Memory Catcher," - something I can keep on my kitchen counter or other handy spot so I can grab it and make a note when something happens that I want to record (like my daughter being appointed Manager of the local radio station last week!), or where I can put that special movie ticket stub (what year did Hunger Games come out again?), what date my youngest received her black belt ... anything I want to remember about that year. 

My oldest daughter will be a senior next year, and I know it's going to be a busy, busy year that will fly by in a flash.  I want her to remember everything about the year - homecoming, college applications, weekend trips to check out colleges, Spring Break, prom, where she went to dinner for her 18th birthday ... everything.  I'd love to say I'm going to make a "real" scrapbook, but in case that doesn't happen, I can easily use This and That to record things throughout the year as they happen, in the moment.  (If I do end up making a "real" scrapbook, this will be a great reference for me!  If not, it'll be a fabulous record of the year to give to her!)

Mmmm.....Coooookieeeeeee!

My team members made this card at our meeting tonight.  A sweet card for a sweet someone.  It's supposed to look like an Oreo cookie.  What do you think?

The top part pivots to show the white inside of the cookie!

Birthday Card Using the New Photopolymer Stamp Set

My club members made this card today.  This was really fun to design!

I love the new photopolymer stamp set - Designer Typeset Alphabet!  See my photos below showing how I used them.

Stamps:  Designer Typeset photopolymer stamp set, Blue Ribbon stamp set.  Colors:  Gumball Green, Island indigo, Melon Mambo.  Accessories:  Silver Glimmer Paper, White Baker's Twine, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack.

Here's how I made the card:

First I put the pennant stamp on the block:

Then, instead of putting each letter on a small block and stamping them one by one, I thought "Hmmmm...it sure would be easy to line the individual letter stamps up on the other side of the block, since I can see right through to the pennant stamp that's on this side."  So I did! ...

 (Pennant stamp is on underside of block, letters are on this side).

Here's a side view of the block, with stamps on each side...

I inked up the pennants in Gumball Green, stamped them on the card, then flipped the block over, inked the letters in Melon Mambo and stamped them all at once inside the stamped pennants.  Sweet!  Quicker than stamping the letters one by one ;-)

From My Heart Friendship Card

 I was in a vintage sort of mood the other day, so I came up with this card.  I love the "From My Heart" stamp set and I really need to start using it more.  It's a great set!

Stamps:  From My Heart.  Colors: Baja Breeze, Primrose Petals, Crumb Cake.  Accessories:  First Edition Designer series Paper, Crochet Trim ribbon, Lacy Brocade embossing folder (p. 36, Spring mini catalog), Bitty Butterfly punch (p. 13, Spring mini catalog), Pearls basic jewels.

St. Patrick's Day Rainbow Card

I've seen several cards similar to this lately from my fellow demonstrators, so I just had to make my own version.  All you really need to make a card similar to this one is a large oval punch for the pot (a circle would do, too), the Word Window punch for the top of the pot (or just a small strip of cardstock rounded at the ends), a small heart punch and some red, blue, yellow and green cardstock.  Go ahead, make do with what you have on hand and give it a try.  Whoever you send your card to will be thrilled!

Stamps:  Teeny Tiny Wishes.  Colors:  Gumball Green, Daffodil Delight, Marina Mist, Basic Black, Whisper White.  Accessories:  Large Oval punch, Word Window Punch, Small Heart punch, Modern Label punch (all punches on p. 182-185), Red Glimmer Paper, Cloudy Day Embossing folder, Big Shot machine.
