I have to thank my sister, Ruth, for sending me this card via e-mail. It was the night before my Wednesday club was to meet, my day had gone "off the rails" and I needed a card idea, quick! She had made this card with her customers and said they loved it. My club members loved it, too! Thanks, Ruth!
Here's what you'll need to make the card:
Four inkpads (I used Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry and Early Espresso), 1" wide painter's tape, our fabulous new burlap ribbon, the new Magnificent Maple stamp (p. 18, Holiday catalog). Note: the scroll is made using the Birch Paper, which is part of the Thankful Tablescape Simply Created Kit (p. 18, Holiday catalog). If you don't have the kit, you can make a scroll from pretty much any piece of paper (cardstock may be a bit too thick to roll so small though).
Step 1:
Tear three pieces of painter's tape so that they are longer than the inkpads (so your fingers don't get inky). In this photo, I show all three laying across the inkpads, but you'll want to do one at a time, as the tape tends to start rolling up (I snapped the photo quickly before it did that).
Step 2:
Lift the painter's tape off of the inkpad and place it onto the piece of cardstock you're stamping on. Rub over the painter's tape with your fingers to transfer the ink.
Ta da!
Cool, huh?
Step 3:
Repeat with the other two inkpads.
Step 4:
Stamp your maple leaf and finish your card!
One final note: For the burlap ribbon technique: Cut off one of the stitched edges of the Burlap Ribbon. Pull individual pieces of the burlap off and use as desired. Wow, you can get a LOT of little strings from one roll of Burlap Ribbon!
Sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set. Love that set!
I hope you enjoyed this little tutorial. Thanks for stopping by.
You are quite welcome...always glad when I can help. xoxo

Donna, I already had it planned out yesterday to do this exact technique with my club tomorrow! Tell Ruth, "Great minds think alike!" I'm using Serene Silhouettes with Soft Sky, Pistachio Pudding and So Saffron. I'll post my completed project on my blog asap.
