Framelits Frenzy - Day 5

I made these Valentine treat holders for my girls using the Stampin' Up! Framelits Labels Collection and Framelits Hearts Collection.   Both being teenagers, they do love their sweets!  I just cut out two hearts, punched a hole through both layers on each side, tied with ribbon and slid the treat in between.  Easy peasy!  I wanted to make each holder a little different.  My youngest is more "girly" and likes sparkly things, so I added the small heart using the Silver Glimmer Paper.  I also used a sponge to add some color to the edge of the heart and I ran the Framelit Labels through the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder.  My oldest is the artist, so I got a little artsy and distressed the white heart by simply dragging it along the edge of the Real Red inkpad and placing some of the White Waffle Paper behind the heart.

Framelits Frenzy - Day 2

How fun is this?  A little pouch/pocket to hold a treat for someone special!  I really had fun creating this one!

I cut the largest heart framelit out of Riding Hood Red cardtsock and then I cut a smaller one out using the Twitterpated Designer Series Paper from the Occasions Mini Catalog.  I adhered the smaller heart to the larger one using Sticky Strip along the straight edges of the heart, leaving the top open for tucking in the treat.  I used Sticky Strip because it is really strong and I wanted to make sure the pocket wouldn't pull away when I placed the treat inside.

I wish i could take credit, but I can't.  I actually bought these at the bake sale at our church craft show on Saturday.  Another Demonstrator made them and donated them to the bake sale, but the ladies in charge of the bake sale couldn't remember her name.  (Whoever you are, if you see this, I'd love to give you credit if you'll just contact me.)  Anyway, I thought they were absolutely adorable and I bought them as soon as I saw them!  What do you think? 

My Latest Non-Card Creation - "Love" banner

Someone in my Yahoo! group of demonstrator friends posted a banner she made using the Big Shot machine with the large scallop circle.  I loved it so much that I immediately went to work on my own banner.  I needed something on my dining room wall, since it was time to take down my frame with the Dasher reindeer Decor Element (he'll be back up next Christmas though, for sure!)

Big Shot Matchbox Sample

This was such fun to make!  I can tell I'm going to get a lot of use out of that matchbox die.  This was made using the Top Note die also.  The paper is the Rainbow Sherbet.  Unfortunately, it's sold out but I had some left over and thought of it immediately when I decided to try this project.  Cardstock colors are Green Galore and Tempting Turquoise. Enjoy!

 

National Scrapbooking Month - Day 4

Here's an idea for a mini scrapbook.  This was made by another Artisan Award-winning demo named Summer.  These are so simple to make.  Just cut two squares for your front and back - whatever size you want the little book to be.  Then make an accordion by cutting and folding strips of cardstock and adhering the ends to the squares, making sure the accordion blocks are smaller than the front and back squares.  Use a button and string for a closure or make a flap from cardstock and attach with velcro.  Adorable, huh?

Treats for Croppers

I had a booth at an all-day crop on Saturday, and myself and two wonderful customers made 66 of these little beauties to put at everyone's spot.  They loved them!

We cut the cardstock into 5 x 3 3/4 pieces and then we scored it down the middle, so the finished size was 2 1/2 x 3 3/4.  We used the horizontal slit punch to make the slot for the popsicle stick and, of course, the scallop circle punch for the "bite".  The Tart & Tangy and "Yummy" SAB sets were perfect for this project, don't you think?

   

Decorated Tin/Calendar/Notepad Class!

Isn't this FABulous?!  I received it as a gift from my good friend and fellow demo, Kim, when we roomed together at Leadership in Orlando back in January.  The minute I saw it, I said "Oh!  I simply MUST do a class on this!"
