Another Masculine Birthday Card for Another Brother-in-Law

This birthday card is a belated one, but I like to think of it as extending one's birthday celebration ;)

I used vellum cardstock to make the beer mug look frosty.  I still have my old crimping tool, so I used that to give it a little texture and make it look more like a mug.  I made the handle using the medium Oval punch and one of the ovals from the Ovals Framelits.  The foam on top was made using the 2 1/2" scallop circle punch.  The sentiment is from the Happy Hour stamp set.  It's difficult to see, but I used the Stripes embossing folder on the black cardstock.

Black & White Masculine Birthday Card

I admit, masculine cards are a challenge for me.  This card is not at all what I set out to make, lol.  Does that ever happen to you?

Well, if this stamp set (Backwoods) doesn't scream "Michigan!" I don't know what does.  Sometimes I feel like we are the only family that doesn't have "a cabin up north," lol.  I used Basic Black and Kraft cardstocks and Chocolate Chip and Artichoke inkpads.  Enjoy.

Stampin' Club Card

This is one of the cards my club members made yesterday.  I used Soft Sky and Chocolate Chip.  I wanted to use the Hodgepodge Hardware, which will be retiring with the current catalog.  The stamp set is "Light Unto My Path".
