I'm anxiously waiting for my preorder so I can play with new stampin' stuff :) UPS has been affected by the weather and I've been unable to track the package to see when it will get here.
My apologies for no recent posts. Without going into details, I will just say that December was a "trying" month here in our household and a lot of things got put on hold. I didn't even get any Christmas cards mailed :( But it's a new year and I'm ready to back in the groove!

My family is hosting an exchange student this year. She turned 16 today, so I made this card for her. She plays the double bass and is very passionate about music, so the musical note paper from the Modern Medley Designer Series paper pack was a must. She loves making cards (which she has never done before) and she loved this one. I hope you like it, too!
Colors: Very Vanilla, Basic Black. Pattern paper: Modern Medley Designer Series Paper. Ribbon: 1/8" black taffeta ribbon. Also: Silver Glimmer paper.
Dies used for the numbers are retired. The current Typeset Alphabet Bigz dies (p. 192) for the Big Shot are very similar.

I have been invited to participate in an event at the Whitman Center on Lewis Avenue in Temperance to raise money for scholarships. It's called "Scrap For Scholars." It is being held on November 16 from 9 am - 9 pm. Cost is $35.00.
You don't have to be a scrapbooker. You can work on cards, too :)
I'll be there with a make & take, of course!
