Thought I forgot, didn't you? lol, I was just a little busy yesterday and this morning :-) Hopefully you'll like today's card enough to consider it worth the wait.
It's not to early to think about St. Patrick's Day cards. It's only three weeks away! Wouldn't this brighten someone's day with all the vibrant colors? I think so!
Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes. Colors: Tempting Turquoise (sky), Garden Green (grass). Rainbow colors: Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Wild Wasabi, Pacific Point, Concord Crush. Accessories: Framelits Labels Collection, Big Shot, Cupcake punch (clouds), 1 3/8" circle punch, Word Window punch, Two-Step Owl Punch (gold pieces).
Here are a couple of photos to show you how I made my rainbow.
Using Dotto, I adhered all six of the Framelits pieces to my cutting pad to ensure that they wouldn't move.
Next, I cut out the framelits in six (rainbow) colors.
Next, I nested my colors in rainbow order (anybody remember ROY G BIV? (Technically, the "I" (indigo) is missing, but the Framelits only cut 6 layers, so something had to give ;-)).
You'll notice that I'm using our fabulous Stampin' Up! Grid Paper here. That was to line up the Framelit pieces exactly so as to ensure a straight cut. It's easy to line it up vertically because there's a point at the top and bottom. Finding the center of the sides is a bit trickier, but the Grid Paper made it a cinch! Once I had it straight, I used Post-Its to mark the cutting line. Then I took it over to my paper trimmer and cut it in half along the Post-It lines. (Note, there's a strip of paper underneath, with some Dotto on it to hold all the framelit pieces in place when I move it to my trimmer).
I do hope you found this post worth the wait! Thanks for stopping by!
